What to wear at parties?

I always have the same nightmare every time there is a party on the horizon which drives me absolutely mad with worry because I need to look fantastic every time. I happen to be a bit of a rock chick and have been a huge fan of all the big, heavy metal bands since I was about twelve years old so the next time I have a party coming up I have decided to dress up as Gene Simmons from the band Kiss. It is not easy though to find a cheap Gene Simmons kiss costume because of all the detailing I suppose. Maybe then I will dig out my old teen vampire costume and wear that because it still looks in good condition.
